Before You Get Your Puppy

There is a lot of conflicting information out there regarding puppies and it can be difficult to know what to believe. Brighton Dog Training offers a 90 minute advice session to help address any queries you may have. During this session we can cover topics such as choice of breed, breeder and puppy, what you need to buy before your puppy arrives home, what to do on your puppy’s first night at home and how all members of the household should behave around the new arrival.

The cost for this advice session is £60.

This session is offered at a 25% discount if a 4 or 6 week course of puppy training is booked and paid for at the same time.

Important Information About Buying a Puppy

It is vitally important to carry out thorough research before you get a puppy to ensure that you get the right pup for you. Sadly, puppy farms are an all too common trade and pups from these environments often have significant health and behavioural problems. Ensure any puppy you buy has been raised in a home environment, make sure that you see your pup’s mother (and father if possible), research if your chosen breed requires any health screening and ask for proof that the breeder has carried this out and avoid breeders who are advertising multiple different breeds for sale. Please have a look on the Pup Aid website for more information.
